TCL 40R release date is Oct. 21, 2022. Android 12 is used as the operating system in the phone. And the user interface is provided by TCL UI 4.0. The 40R has 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, technology as network connectivity and the network speed is available up to HSPA, LTE-A, 5G. Wireless connectivity also includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, bluetooth 5.1, A2DP, LE, yes, GPS, NFC .

TCL 40R uses 50 MP Triple Camera for taking pictures, they are 50 MP, (wide), f/1.8, 1/2.76", 0.64µm, PDAF, 2 MP (macro), f/2.4, 2 MP, (depth), f/2.4. Its features include LED flash, HDR, panorama, and video recording up to 1080p/30fps. 40R has a 8 MP, (wide), f/2.0, 1/4", 1.12µm camera as a selfie shooter. and can record videos up to 1080p/30fps.

MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset is used for TCL 40R performance. It is an Octa-core (2x2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) processor built using 7 nm architecture. There is a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU to deliver the graphics. 40R uses 64/128 GB Internal Storage and 4 GB RAM as memory.

TCL 40R uses IPS LCD 6.6 inches 90Hz refresh rate display. The display features 400 nits (typ). It has a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a pixel density of 267 ppi. 40R body dimensions are 164.5 x 75.4 x 9 mm and weight is 192 g. Front Glass front, back plastic back, and plastic frame frame have been used to build the phone. This phone's available color is Stardust Purple, Starlight Black.

There is a 5000 mAh Li-po non-removable battery to power the TCL 40R. And the charging features are 15W wired .
